Hi, i am trying to connect my midi device Casio CTK-2080 into my laptop running Windows 7 64-BIT. I am not using M-Audio
So i know its recognized by my computer because i go to devices and printers and its there listed as Casio USB-Device
I ve tested it with MidiOX but whenn i go to devices and click on my casio then OK, a dialog box appears saying Undefined External Device
That dialog appears on my other programs, Finale 2011, Sibelius 7, Fl Studio and Musescore also.
I then tested it again with Kontakt 5 player, i went to options, then devices and turned on my casio and it worked fine, it was sending and receiving
midi data all fine. BUT that is because its a standalone vst. i think. So why does it now work with any of my other applications. Im using a Usb A-B Lead cable so no
M-Audio, i ve tried that one work around in the registry a million of times but no luck, i also heard that was only for M-audio users so i guess it does not work for
me. Please help me as soon as possible. Thank you.

USB MIDI Keyboard with ProTools 8 help, please
I am new to the forum, and wanted to ask about MIDI. I bought a Casio CTK 2080 keyboard, and it has a USB connector on the back, not MIDI connectors. It says I need a USB A-B type cable to connect it to my computer. However, it doesn t tell me how to connect it to an interface like ProTools.
I am very new to MIDI, and have never set it up before with a keyboard. I am hoping someone may be able to talk me through how to get it set up with ProTools 8 and a Digi 003 rack. Or direct me somewhere to learn more.
I hope this isn t too stupid of a question, and appreciate your patience and and any help you can offer.
